Reagan Building, Los Angeles
“Redwood Moonrise” is a monumental fountain commissioned by the State of California, in conjunction with the Los Angeles State Building Authority and the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles, and was built during the constructed of the Ronald Reagan State Judiciary Courthouse Building in Los Angeles, CA, in 1989-1990.
The piece stands in the entry court of the four story glass enclosed atrium of the Ronald Reagan Building in downtown Los Angeles, where it was unveiled on October 26, 1990, by The Honorable George Deukmejian, Governor of California, in a dedication ceremony presided over by The Honorable Ronald Wilson Reagan, President of the United States.
